African European Renewable Energy is the first German-Moroccan Enterprise established in 2018 with a focus on developing wind farm projects in Morocco with a view of the production of green hydrogen.
A Sustainable Future Unfolding - This visionary project in Morocco represents just the beginning of a larger journey. AERE envisions creating sustainable energy ecosystems in Africa, advocating for a future where clean energy is not just a choice but a global imperative.
Empowering Communities - Our initiative in the Safi Region isn't solely about energy production; it's about empowering communities. Through job creation, community engagement, and sustainable development practices, we aim to leave a positive, lasting impact on the local landscape and its people.
Pioneering Innovation - At AERE, innovation is the cornerstone of our endeavors. We continuously explore new technologies, methodologies, and partnerships to optimize our projects, ensuring they remain at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions.
The Future Beckons - As we forge ahead in Morocco and beyond, our sights are set on expanding our impact. AERE's visionary project in the Safi Region represents a blueprint for a future where renewable energy thrives, driving us closer to a world powered sustainably, responsibly, and harmoniously.
Green hydrogen made from renewable electricity and water will play a crucial role in our decarbonized future economy, as shown in many recent scenarios.
When Europe and North Africa develop a joint hydrogen economy, both North Africa and Europe will benefit. Like natural gas, hydrogen can be imported from North Africa by pipeline, which is more cost effective than import by ship. With hydrogen imported from North Africa, Europe could realize a sustainable energy system, required to meet the obligations of the Paris Agreement, faster and cheaper. Furthermore, a joint European - Moroccan renewable energy and hydrogen approach would create economic development, future-oriented jobs and social stability in North-African countries.
An inclusive energy transition is about an energy system that is affordable, accessible, secure, reliable and fair (distribution of benefits and burdens) for everyone. A 50% renewable electricity and 50% renewable hydrogen system developed in mutual co-operation with North Africa for the benefit of both, whereby everyone is connected to an energy infrastructure including energy storage facilities (electricity, hydrogen), is a good prerequisite for an inclusive energy system.
At African European Renewable Energy (AERE), we are committed to revolutionizing the energy sector through innovation, sustainability, and a relentless pursuit of renewable energy solutions. Founded by visionary leaders - Mr. Mustapha Mokass, Mr. Thorsten Wulfes and Mrs. Meryanne Loum-Martin - AERE represents a convergence of expertise, passion, and dedication toward building a greener tomorrow.
